Eat, drink, and be merry! One of my favorite things to do during the holidays—and I’m sure a lot of you feel the same way—is be festive! Garland spiraling up your banister, a handmade wreath on the door, Christmas trees in every room, twinkling lights, the list goes on.
This year I wanted to try my hand at putting together a holiday drink for one of my family Christmases. This recipe is really pretty simple—I think it took me a total of 45 minutes to craft from start to finish. If you’re also juggling multiple other things in the kitchen, this might be a little unneeded stress, but if you’re in charge of just the drinks, this is totally doable.
What you’ll need:
2 bottles Pinot Grigio
1 cup apple juice
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups ginger ale
2 granny smith apples
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 anjou pear
fresh rosemary
cinnamon sticks
First, combine 1 cup Pinot Grigio, apple juice, and sugar on the stove top and bring to a boil.
Then add the cranberries and let it boil for a minute or two.
Strain and separate the cranberries and liquid, then allow both to cool.
While that's cooling, cut the apples and pear.
Finish the drinks with fresh rosemary and cinnamon!
Cheers!
