21-Day Fitness Challenge: Day 1


Hello! If you're here, that means you probably read my most recent post about body positivity, fighting insecurities, and finding strength. I'm super pumped to be sharing this with you! So, here it is: Day one.

Work was long ... and it was a Monday. I felt fatigued and by the end of the work day felt super groggy. At my work, we have a gym and a variety of classes. On Mondays and sometimes Tuesdays, I attend a class at 4:30.

Today I went to Totally Fit, which is an all-body workout class. There's only ever me and one other person there, so it's practically like having a personal training session. And bonus: I love the instructor of the class, too!

Today she let us choose what we wanted to do. I suggested weights and arms, so that's what we did. We did a variety of back and bicep and shoulders and triceps in a variety of different ways. We used dumbbells, resistance bands, weighted plates, and body bars, and we did body-weighted exercises, too.

That's one of my favorite things about attending workout classes, I always learn new things! I'm definitely going to be sore tomorrow, which is a good thing because I know I put work in.

With that being said, day one is complete. When I do my own workouts, I plan on getting a little bit more elaborate and writing out exactly what lifts I did for you guys!
